IMPLEMENTASI SISTEM TANDA TANGAN MANUAL UNTUK MENINGKATKAN DISIPLIN GURU

Teacher discipline is a critical determinant of instructional quality, particularly in Islamic boarding schools where professional responsibility and moral exemplarity are emphasized. However, the implementation of reward and punishment often lacks an objective and operational monitoring system. This study aims to analyze the implementation of a manual disciplinary signature system as a behavioral control instrument in strengthening reward and punishment mechanisms at PPP Salafiyah 2 Bangil. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the system provides real-time, measurable attendance data that serve as a basis for fair and consistent reward and punishment. Its implementation, through a 15-minute rotating supervision mechanism, significantly improves teacher punctuality and reduces instructional gaps. Nevertheless, challenges such as inconsistent supervision, tolerance practices, and data inaccuracy remain. This study highlights that a simple, context-adaptive monitoring system can effectively enhance teacher discipline when integrated with value-based management practices. The study contributes a practical and replicable model for discipline management in Islamic educational institutions.
