PELAKSANAAN TAFTISYUL KUTUB SEBAGAI UPAYA PENGUATAN BUDAYA BELAJAR DAN TANGGUNG JAWAB SANTRI DI MTs-MA SALAFIYAH 2 BANGIL

Abstract

Pondok Pesantren Putri Salafiyah 2 Bangil is one of the oldest Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia that plays a strategic role in shaping students’ character and morality through the salaf tradition, particularly the study of classical Islamic texts (kitab kuning). Amid the modernization of education, some pesantren continue to preserve the traditional salaf system as their distinctive characteristic, including MTs-MA Salafiyah 2 Bangil. However, the institution still faces challenges related to students’ low sense of responsibility in completing the ma’na and explanatory notes of the classical texts, as well as the weak learning culture among students.

This study aims to describe the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Taftisyul Kutub examination as an effort to strengthen students’ learning culture and responsibility at MTs-MA Salafiyah 2 Bangil. The research specifically focuses on the implementation of the Taftisyul Kutub examination in reinforcing students’ learning culture and responsibility. This study employed a qualitative research method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation studies.

The findings reveal that the planning of the Taftisyul Kutub examination began with the establishment of a committee responsible for all examination preparations. The Taftisyul Kutub examination was conducted once every semester prior to the written examination, requiring students to complete all the textbooks and learning materials studied during the semester. Students who met the passing criteria were awarded a Taftisyul Kutub examination completion card. The study concludes that the Taftisyul Kutub examination has proven to be an effective strategy for minimizing students’ irresponsibility while simultaneously strengthening the learning culture at MTs-MA Salafiyah 2 Bangil.
